The Classroom Leaders of Color Fellowship is two year cohort model for Boston-based early career classroom teachers of color. Educators of color deserve the support, resources, and community necessary to flourish in the profession and to ensure all students, particularly students of color, have more happy, healthy, and thriving veteran educators of color.

Coaches and mentors with shared identities will meet the specific needs of early career educators of color, while developing, maintaining, and improving the skills and tools to increase their input, impact, and income, towards a more sustainable profession. CLOC fellows will develop and implement wellness plans to ensure that mental, physical, and social health is a priority for them and their students.

2023-2024 Program Schedule:
In year one of the fellowship, fellows will participate in monthly programming from September 2023 - May 2024. In the first year Fellows are required to engage in a combination of in person and virtual development sessions, participate in monthly classroom observations, and monthly coaching and mentoring meetings. Fellows must make themselves available to attend all required development sessions. In year two Fellows will have continued support with their coach and mentor.
Eligibility Requirements:The Teachers’ Lounge seeks educators of color with great purpose and great passion to launch our fellowship program. A CLOC fellow is a Boston-based K-12 classroom teacher of color with 2-3 years of classroom teaching experience eager to learn and develop. Fellows must be able to attend all sessions.

Note: We are accepting applicants on a rolling basis. Before accepting members for Cohort II School Leaders must also confirm Fellow's participation before the start of the 2023-2024 School Year.
