Some of the woodworking projects
What's Camp Like?

Campers use hand tools to learn practical skills, develop safety intuition, build self-confidence, and discover the magic of personal dedication through fun and functional projects! When we tire of woodworking, we play games in nature, tell stories, go on short adventures and have fun in other wholesome, friendly ways.

The context of woodworking naturally encourages collaboration as kids choose--on their own--to help each other out. When they discover the joy and power of teamwork in this way, it leaves a lasting impression that can be carried into other contexts of life.
Who are these Good Fun Stuff people?

We are a couple in West Marin who love making connections with other families and helping kids do stuff together that is good for their development and just plain fun, nourishing their confidence, creativity and sense of community. Sign up for our roughly monthly email newsletter at www.goodfunstuff.org.

We are experts at being with children in ways that support them as whole human beings—something that feels particularly urgent these days, both as parents ourselves and as professionals in the field. For us, that means:

  • Seeing kids with dignity, making space for uniqueness and discovery of creativity in all its forms

  • Modeling authenticity and healthy boundaries with communication that is clear, calm and confident

  • Helping kids find their own intrinsic care for each other even when things don’t go as they’d like

  • Presenting developmentally appropriate challenges and support with crucial physical, creative, and social skills.

Local families, schools and businesses choose us for birthday parties, kids corners at their events, day camps and after-school/homeschool classes because we bring all of that into really cool activities for all ages:

  • Woodworking with hand tools

  • Dance and creative movement

  • Spanish and cultural exploration

  • Group games and eco-friendly crafts

Join us for a week of summer camp, or let us take care of a party or event for you, maybe set up 1:1 or group classes at your home or school (or homeschool!). Let us know how we can be a part of your village.
