The Guiding Light Award for Devotion (G.L.A.D.)
Do you share the same profound dedication to the field of braille transcription that Margaret 'Meg' Wagner exemplified throughout her lifetime? If the answer is yes, the National Braille Association (NBA) encourages you to apply for its annual Guiding Light Award of Devotion. This award, which is made possible by donations to the Meg Wagner Fund, is bestowed to one deserving individual each year.

From the pool of submitted applications, eligible individuals will be identified. To be eligible, one does not need to have the same level of success or influence on the industry that Meg did, but one does need to have similar interests and the same level of devotion. The recipient of the award will be provided with a Life Membership in the NBA and free conference registration (must be used within five years of receiving the award).

The announcement of who has been selected for the award will be made at the NBA's 2025 professional development conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.
