Application for MLT:

• MLT consists of two sections: reading and listening. It is not possible to take only one section.
• You can take multiple levels on the same date.
• Once you apply, you cannot change the level.

MLT Test Day:

• Please bring an ID card with your photo. If you do not have one on the test day, you may not be able to take the test. In that case, you will not receive a refund.
• Please bring the confirmation card issued by MLT on the test day.
• Please check the traffic access to the venue. The confirmation card states the address and name of the venue. Please arrive at the venue 10 minutes in advance of the starting time.
• You are not allowed to take the MLT if you arrive late after the starting time.
• It is possible that the MLT may not be held due to matters on the MLT organizer's side or an unavoidable situation.
• If the MLT is cancelled or the starting time is changed, we will announce it through the MLT website by 6:00 am on the test day. Please check the latest information on the MLT website.
• Please bring warm clothing just in case, as some seats in the room may be too cold.

During the MLT Test Time:

• If you finish the reading section early, you can leave the test room between 10 and 30 minutes before the test ending time. Please note that you are not allowed to leave after 10 minutes to the test end time.
• You are not allowed to use reference materials such as dictionaries and textbooks.
• All you can put on the desk are a pencil, eraser, watch, and bottle of water. Please put the other items in your bag and keep the bag on the floor.
• Please turn off all electronic devices such as mobile phones and smartphones. Mobile phones cannot be used as a watch.
• If you need to go to the toilet during the test, please raise your hand. The MLT staff will accompany you to the washroom. However, you are not allowed to go during the listening section.
• Once the test time finishes, we collect all materials: test paper, answer sheets, questionnaire paper, and blank paper. You are not allowed to take away any of those materials.
• You are not allowed to note/write on the test paper. If you need to take notes, please use the blank sheet distributed by MLT.
• We may ask you to leave if we consider that you are interrupting the process of the MLT by not following our rules. In this case, we will not score your test results, and there will be no refund.

Test Result:

• We will send the test result to the registered email address about one month after the test day.
• For those who pass, we will send a certificate as an attachment to the email. If you wish to obtain the original certificate (hard-copy), please let us know by the deadline stated in the email.
• Pass/fail is determined by the correct answer rate. If the correct answer rate for each section and the total is over 60%, you can pass.
• We are not able to answer whether your answer to each individual question was correct or incorrect.
• The MLT Association may cancel the score in cases of natural disasters, incidents, accidents, leakage of examination problems, etc., or in case the test taker uses an illegal ID or does not follow MLT rules.

Refund Policy:

• We cannot refund the examination fee and other material fees once they have been paid, regardless of the reason.
