KSA x CoalitionWILD welcomes applicants globally to collaborate in the KSA Fellowship Program. The ideal candidate is an individual between the ages of 18-40 whose research work is based on identifying, protecting and restoring keystone species within their natural environment. We welcome applicants from all around the world, whether you are working on land or at sea. Marine, air, and land conservation is equally weighted in our selection process.

Applicants who are beginning their project or midway through their project timeline are all welcome. As such, the organization’s support for the fellow will vary depending on the applicant and where the applicant is in their research project.

As part of KSA’s mission, we are deeply committed to building legal initiatives to protect the Earth’s most valuable species and restore this Earth. If awarded a KSA fellowship, the KSA Fellow agrees to collaborate with the KSA team to connect their designated research project with the legal landscape of KSA’s global initiatives. Consider our team your policy and legal partner in good crime.

Competitive candidates may be subject to an additional round of interviews to assess their qualifications and background.

Please provide a brief description of your experience as it relates to conservation, biodiversity protection, and environmental advocacy.

Which research stage is your project in at the time of this application?

Investigation Stage: you have a deep love for keystone species and are either at the beginning stages of building out a project or conducting research and development in your local community. You have a love for science and mapping out the carbon cycle of your species. You need support in building out strategy, identifying deliverables, allocating a budget for your project, building out a fundraising plan, and integrating cross collaborators with one another. For example, you are a student, writing your thesis at a University and you need research to complete your thesis on a particular species within their bioregion

Research & Development Stage: you have a project proposal and are beginning to glue the pieces together. You are ready to start researching and developing the project to finalize the plan, and need guidance with connecting to the right people and allocating a budget for your work.

Execution Stage: you have a finalized project plan and are ready to get on the ground level. Or, you are already on the ground level and executing the project with clear metrics and deliverables in mind. You need funding to either reintroduce or protect your species of interest within the particular bioregion and or country.
