Good morning! If you are a volunteer and/or professional rescue operator, you are warmly invited to collaborate in this study by giving your view on the value and difficulties of working in a team. “Teamwork” is the basis for organizing rescue operations in case of natural disasters and not, such as earthquakes, landslides, floods, avalanches, searching for missing people. This study is carried out by the Department of Veterinary Medicine of Perugia and the Alpine Rescue Organization of the Guardia di Finanza of Italy, in collaboration with the ICAR-DOG Dog-Handlers Sub-Commission, the Norvegian Norske Redningshunder Association and other European Rescue Organizations and Associations belonging to the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR). The data collected from this questionnaire will be extremely useful because they will serve to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the existing rescue teamwork management, providing valuable suggestions for the future training of rescue operators. Good teamwork increases the performance and the success of searching for missing persons, and the hope of finding them still alive.
In about 5-10 minutes you can complete this anonymous questionnaire, but if you want to know the results of this study you can leave a reference email at the end and we will send you the results as soon they will be available.
We thank you in advance for your generous and priceless collaboration, without your help this study would not be possible. And thank you indeed for dedicating your professionalism as a rescue operator to help those in need and the whole community.
