MAPIL Excellence in Public Interest Award Nomination Form
The MAPIL Executive Board is excited to announce that we have created an award that will be given annually at the MAPIL Auction. We are currently seeking nominations for 2026's award recipient. 

The MAPIL Excellence in Public Interest Award should go to an individual who: 
  • Is a University of Maine School of Law Alumnus;
  • Has dedicated a significant amount of their career to public interest and/or social justice work;
  • Has demonstrated leadership in Maine by helping communities with access to justice; and
  • Is someone who might not be receiving enough credit as an agent of change and who may otherwise go unrecognized.
Our deadline for receiving nominations will be February 6, 2026 at 5:00 pm.
