CAMP OVERVIEWThis week long course is a unique experience for African-American female junior golfers. Many of our camp alumna have been the only African-American female on their golf team and have been enriched by this experience. The camp introduces students to the exciting career opportunities in the golf industry. Clemson PGA Professional Golf Management Program is one of only 18 PGA accredited programs; the PGA Golf Management Program at Clemson University provides an educational background and fast track program for students who desire to become PGA golf professionals and have an interest in the golf industry.
Students who are selected to participate in this one week camp will obtain specialized knowledge, skills, and preparation to be leaders in the golf industry. Students will get a feel for what it's like to be a PGM student at Clemson.
Families will also be responsible for attending a mandatory orientation - June 2 for Session I and July 21 for Session II. If your student will be traveling to Clemson unaccompanied, arrangements will be made for parents/guardians to attend the orientation session virtually.
ELIGIBILITYStudents must have at least 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scaleMust be at least 14 years of age at time of the campMust be able to play 18 holes and consistently score 95 or below
COSTTuition for this course is $1,000; however students selected to participate will be awarded an $800 scholarship to attend. Families are responsible for paying $200 by the registration deadline and provide round trip transportation for their student.
TRANSPORTATIONWith enough notice, a shuttle will be provided to and from the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport for students and families who plan to fly in to the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport.
