Global Seed Savers Seed School Interest From
Thank you for your interest in hosting a Seed School in your community. Global Seed Savers is committed to building hunger free and healthy communities with access to sustainable farmer produced seeds and food. Since 2015, we have conducted five seed schools throughout the Philippines, educating over 500 Filipino Farmers about the importance, history, practice and art of saving seeds. Seed School is designed to offer a comprehensive yet accessible overview of the history, science, business, and craft of saving seeds.

As a result of our first Seed School held in Tublay, Benguet in 2015, twenty farmers have formed The Benguet Association of Seed Savers (BASS) and have reported saving $100 annually (roughly one months income) by doing local seed production. We also opened the first of its kind Seed Library in May 2017 in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office in Tublay, Benguet Province. The Seed Library currently has over 30 different varieties of locally produced non-chemical seeds.

We are excited to continue to offer Seed Schools to new regions of the Philippines. Please take a moment and answer the questions below and a member of our team will follow up with you soon about next steps.
