20 States by 2020 Sign on Letter
On the one-year anniversary of #MeToo going viral, nearly 300 organizations aligned against sexual violence and harassment published a letter in the New York Times challenging “20 states by 2020” to make concrete advances towards strengthening protections against sexual harassment and violence at work, in schools, homes, and communities. (see the initial challenge letter here: http://bit.ly/NYT2020Letter)

Now, the State Innovation Exchange (SIX) and the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) are working with state legislators from across the country on a public letter from state legislators responding to this exciting challenge and committing to working to address sexual harassment. The letter was released at bit.ly/20States2020 in late January. We will continue to collect sign ons and will update the letter with new names approximately weekly.
