The American Legion Auxiliary Hawai'i Girls State (ALAHGS) is honored to offer this premier leadership program to the youth of Hawai'i. We are so excited that you have decided to apply. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We are ALA Hawaii Girls State- but, over the summer 17,000 girls will be participating in their own state's program across the United States of America.
To be eligible to participate in the ALA Girls State/Girls Nation programs, you:
Must be in your Junior Year of High School and a United States citizen or legal inhabitant of the United States. when you apply.

Please be sure you are available for all of these sessions:

June 3, 5 Monday & Wednesday -5-8p ONLINE
June 8 Saturday 8am Check into HPU Aloha Tower Dorms
June 10 Pick Up at 5pm from program (location TBD)
If accepted into the prestigious ALA Hawai'i Girls State program, delegates provide a $100 donation to ALAHGS. (Please reach out if you need assistance with this. Please do not allow the money aspect to stop you from applying. We have scholarships available).
The donation serves to offset a small portion of program expenses including lodging and meals.
Donations are made once you receive acceptance into program.

If you are one of the two girls chosen to attend ALA Girls Nation in July, you must be able to clear a background check by the United States government, the White House and the U.S. Secret Service.
ALAHGS is completely operated by volunteers (no paid staff).
Cancellation Policy & Donation Refund: 30 Days prior 100% Refund; Cancellation 15-29 Days prior to start date 50% Refund; Cancellation less than 15 Days to start date will result in forfeiture of donation.
ALL Delegates must arrange travel to and from the program at Hawaii Pacific University Aloha Tower Dorms.
