Programming application - PZS 2019
This form is for anyone interested in applying to lead programming at this year's Portland Zine Symposium! This year we have a generous budget for programming, thanks to a Multnomah County Cultural Coalition Grant, which is funded by the Oregon Cultural Trust. We plan to use that grant to pay different zinesters to host approximately 8 pieces of programming, be it workshops or panels, or some kind of collaborative art piece on Saturday and Sunday during the festival! If necessary, we can have a volunteer help you cover your table. This form should take less than 15 minutes.

Currently, we are especially excited to offer programming that is accessible to families, and we have several ideas about hands-on workshops, which have been lead successfully at PZS in the past and proven to be accessible for families. We do have a budget for supplies if those are necessary for your workshop. These will likely be drop-in workshops.

Payment will be be $150 to lead an hour and a half workshop, and $75 to lead a panel (which includes coordinating with the other folks on the panel before PZS weekend), and $50 available for up to three other guests on the panel. Payment will be at the end of July 21st, 2019. Any extra money from our MCCC grant, will be split amongst people leading programming, so you will likely have a few extra dollars tacked on. This application will close at the end of May. Feel free to email pdxzines@gmail.com with any questions. If we choose you to lead programming we will contact you Mid-June.

Please describe your previous experience leading workshops or teaching in 3-4 sentences. We are especially interested in supporting folks that have helped out at other zinefests. We are also trying to make PZS more encouraging to youth, so feel free to highlight experience teaching with youth. *
