SOUL Student Application 2020-2021
SOUL’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty for low-income student-athletes. We have youth programs operating in three US cities, Baltimore, San Francisco, and Washington, DC. Approximately 80% of our youth investment is in non-athletic activities. We provide our youth access to academic, athletic, social emotional, and professional development opportunities that prepare them for life.
We have four signature programs College 101, Men's Group, Women's Group, and Study Hall. These programs are built on five pillars (Self-Awareness, Cognitive Development, Accountability, Social Norms, and Risky Behaviors), which aim to strengthen our youth’s life trajectory .
Beyond high school, we provide support for SOUL alumni for four years beyond graduation, whether they enroll in college or are seeking gainful employment.
