Course description:
Experiential Learning, Brain-based Education, and Research–Based Reading Strategies are combined to create a unique method of reading instruction appropriate for K-12 students and adults. This ONLINE course will introduce the basic principles of reading instruction and experiential reading strategies for the classroom as well as Equine Assisted Learning (EAL). Experiential Reading Instruction and Horse Powered Reading® Instruction both share the same foundation and strategies however Equine Assisted Learning provides an added impact of horses which may not be available to all teachers. Therefore, participants will have a choice of assignment tracks in order to match their educational setting of either a traditional classroom or arena. Equine Assisted Learning track assignments will require access to horses.
