Request Participation in Call Up Focus Group
The call up procedure is undoubtably the most discussed rule each year. It’s a challenge because at no point in time will a rule please everyone. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be evaluated, refined and adjusted to create a procedure that does the most amount of good for the most amount of riders. While minor adjustments are made almost yearly to support category structure changes, it has been 3 years since an in-depth evaluation has occurred.

In February 2019, the MN High School Cycling League will convene a focus group to evaluate, and, if needed, suggest a new call up procedure to the league rules committee (LRC). The selected focus group will meet over the course of 3 or 4 nights to:
• Review the past rules
• Determine what is a “good call up”
• Research and review other organization’s procedures
• Write and evaluate draft rule(s)
• Make formal submission to LRC
All meetings will be held in Bloomington from 6:30 to 8:30 PM on Tuesdays,
March 5th, 12th, 19th and the 26th (if needed) - originally planned for February

Apply only if you can attend all the meetings. Substitutes are not allowed.

The focus group will include parents, student-athletes and coaches that range from big teams to small teams, metro to out-state, and new racers to old. The size of the group will be limited.

The deadline for applying is XXXX with members being notified by XXXX.
