The theme for this AOM is social justice! As always, we will be accepting submissions on mental illness, madness, disability, neurodiversity, substance use, trauma, and other related experiences relating to this theme. Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis, with some slots saved for anonymous submissions.
1) Submissions may be in the format of a poem, spoken word piece, short story, song, movement or dramatic performance - whatever you can with a single microphone and a stage to yourself. We do not have capacity at this time to show any digital images, videos, or similar digital mediums.
2) All submissions should be around 5 minutes performed or less. If your submission is greater than 5 minutes, it may not be performed due to the high volume of submissions.
3) You are free to submit multiples pieces (up to 5 minutes), including both anonymous and public performances. The Inside Our Minds Team will accept more than one submission based on availability of performance time.
4) Inside Our Minds reserves the right to edit or refuse stories that violate our community guidelines, at our discretion. We have a commitment to providing an intentional space that does not tolerate hate, discrimination, or oppression.
