Creative Response Artist Relief Application
Central Georgia is a community which values artists and creatives whose work enriches our lives. The recently completed 2020 Cultural Plan for Macon, informed by community leaders, artists, arts organizations and educators, affirmed the value and economic impact of this sector.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused hardships for many artists and creative professionals and will continue to create challenges for quite some time. Rising to challenges, Macon Arts Alliance has established the Creative Response Fund to provide direct support to individual creatives in Central Georgia.

The Creative Response Fund will distribute grants from $500 to $1,000 to artists and creative professionals facing financial emergencies due to COVID-19. The fund has been seeded by a generous $40,000 grant from the Central Georgia COVID-19 Response & Recovery Fund.

Applications will be reviewed as received. Please note, as of June 5, 2020 the Creative Response Artist Relief Fund has been depleted. Please continue to apply for relief if needed and funds will be distributed as they are raised on a first come, first served basis.

Eligible artist applicants must:

• Reside and work in Bibb, Baldwin, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, or Twiggs County

• Be a practicing creative able to demonstrate a current and sustained commitment to their work, career, and their audience

• Rely on a significant portion of their income from artistic endeavors

• Be experiencing acute financial emergencies due to the COVID-19 pandemic

• Be 21 years of age or older
