VCU BOV Budget Workshop March 22, 2022 Open Comment Form
The Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors Budget Workshop will be held in open session in the James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave., Room 303, Richmond, Virginia. Board members who are participating electronically will access the meeting via Zoom. The public may view a livestream of the open session videoconference. If you would like to attend the Board of Visitors Budget Workshop meeting in-person on Tuesday, March 22, you must register by providing the following information via email sent to bov@vcu.edu: name, email and phone number, VCU affiliation, (e.g. student, faculty, employee, alumni, parent or member of the public), and request for reasonable accommodation if needed. Please note in the subject line that you are registering to attend the 2022 BOV Budget workshop. You may also call Chelsea Gray, board liaison, at (804) 828-9213 to register.

There will be an hour public comment period at the beginning of the workshop on March 22. The BOV will receive comments only on matters pertaining to Virginia Commonwealth University’s budget and proposed agenda items.  

If you would like to offer public comment at the March 22 Budget Workshop you must register by providing the following information via email sent to bov@vcu.edu: name, email and phone number, VCU affiliation, (e.g. student, faculty, employee, alumni, parent, or member of the public), and request for reasonable accommodation. Please note in the subject line that you are registering to speak at the public comment.  You may also call Chelsea Gray, Board Liaison, at 804-828-9213 to register.  

Speakers will proceed in the order of registration and should be online at the start of the meeting at 8:30 a.m. to facilitate meeting operations.  Speakers will be limited to a maximum of three (3) minutes each.  Every effort will be made to accommodate all speakers within the time constraints of the meeting.

Preference will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.  The first 20 individuals to register will have the opportunity to speak during the public comment period; individuals beyond the first 20 to register may submit written comments (see below).

Speakers may provide materials in advance should they wish to share with the Board of Visitors.
Individuals unable to attend the public comment period or to provide comment during the allotted hour public comment period may provide written comment via an online comment portal to ensure an adequate opportunity for informed public comment on the proposed agenda items. All comments submitted to the portal must be made by 4:30 p.m., March 14.
