School signup for NorWALK for Mental Health wellness fair
Dear NPS principals:

We hope to see a great showing by your school community at this year's NorWALK for Mental Health: Walk + Wellness Fair, coming up on Saturday, May 3rd from 9am-12pm on the Town Green (raindate two weeks later on the 17th). This annual event supports mental wellness by providing fun, free activities, music, and art, and showcasing the many mental health, substance misuse, and healthcare resources available to our residents through interactive tables, free health screenings, and resources. Youth who participate lead the awareness walk portion of the event, and we'll have both youth and adult speakers alongside the Mayor.

This year we will have PRIZES to the participating schools, classes, and clubs/sports teams that field the most students. Please fill out the form below to let us know in what ways your school will be participating! It's as easy as staffing a table at the event where your students will sign in so we can get a headcount and know which school had the most people.   Please share this information to your PTAs/SGCs, teachers & coaches!

Thanks! Hope to see you there!

P.S. Consider this: In our 2024 Norwalk Youth Survey this past fall, 1 in 5 middle & high school students reported depression, and slightly more reported anxiety. Almost half of those who had reached the point of considering suicide said they didn't know where to go for help--even though there's so much help available. Please help raise awareness by encouraging your students, faculty, and families to attend this event!
