Ball Kids will get to do the following Including:
- Ball kids would get into the event for FREE, get to be on court WITH the pro players as ball kids and would get an Tournament shirt and hat for the event.
- Ball Kids will get free lunch / dinner on Thursday and free lunch on Friday They WILL not be on the court the entire day. they will rotate in 2 groups of 6 ball kids per match (we need 14 ball kids total)
The ball kids will do rotations and be ON court for 1 set, then OFF court for 1 set. There will be a nice break in between each set and ENJOY the tennis
All Ball Kids must be 8 years or older as of August 16 in order to be on court and participate
- Kids that signup that are Juniors or Seniors in high school MAY be assigned a different job including: on court attendant, facility assistant, scoreboard operator, etc.
All ball kids grades 9-12 may use this as community service through their school. You must bring your school issued community service paperwork to BCTA President Ryan Knarr at the conclusion of the event to have him sign off on the hours.
Parents may drop off players: depending on what group Thursday and Friday
DAY 1 on 8/14 is 8:30am-3:00 pm w/ pickup at 3:00pm OR Evening 3:30pm-9:00pm (pickup at 9:15pm) at event site: Emkey Tennis Garden Estate1422 Old Mill Road Wyomissing. DAY 2 is Friday 8/18 from 4pm-7:30pm
The event is a real live Pro Tennis event w/ ticket purchasing available. For parents of ball-kids there will be a special ticket price available for purchase later this week for those parents who have ball kids in the event.
Ball kids should be available both days (Monday August 17 either afternoon or evening session) AND on
Tuesday August 18 from 4pm-7:30pm (as well as the Ball-Kid Training on Wednesday August 12th at 7:00pm-8pm at Emkey Tennis
Here is when they would need to be available to be a ball kid at the Pro Event.:
Wednesday August 12th- Ball kid training 7pm-8pm- Emkey tennis Facility
Monday August 17th-- Day 1 of Pro Event (Preliminary Round Robin Rounds - Ball kids will be assigned to group either 8:30am-3pm (pickup at 3:00pm) or 3:30pm-9pm (pickup at 9:15pm) a
Lunch provided + water/snacks throughout day)
Tuesday August 18- Day 2 (Finals Day) of the Pro Event - Ball kids will do 4:30pm-7:30pm w/ 2 matches during that time, arrival at 4:00pm)
