SCC Intern Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in the Savannah Children's Choir's Internship program. For college students, our diverse singing population of 140 bright, musically interested children in 2nd through 8th grades provides a platform for you to test out your skills.

The Savannah Children's Choir’s Summer Camp - held each year during over two weeks in late July - pairs talented and motivated college students with musically interested children in 2nd through 8th grades for a fun two-week day-camp learning experience in beautiful Savannah, GA. The internship includes free housing and a stipend.

Our highly competitive internship selection process ensures that we chose only the brightest students, who will work alongside high school students and teachers in the beautiful city of Savannah, Ga. You are sure to walk away with an experience that enhances your academic education.

Application into our summer-camp internship begins mid January each year. Applicants must pass 3 competitive rounds of interivews before being selected as an intern March 1st. Once selected, they work as a team with the Director of Education & Music to prepare lesson plans, activities, and all details that make the camp successful.

As an intern, you get a “real world” teaching experience with a diverse group of children, while our children get to learn music history, theory, sight singing and more using the most up-to-date methods taught by enthusiastic college students.

Please take a few minutes to view our short informational videos that explain our program in greater detail.
