Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble is a brave space for you to share your thoughts and beliefs and to make powerful art that speaks to important issues in our Austin community and the world at large.

Creative Action is committed to social justice and inclusiveness. We strongly encourage applications from youth of color, LGBTQ+ & non-binary youth, and differently abled people.

What is Changing Lives? 

CHANGING LIVES YOUTH THEATRE ENSEMBLE

CLYTE is a group of teen artists and activists who use theatre to spark dialogue about teen relationships. Each year, we spend the fall learning about healthy relationships, social justice, and violence prevention and writing an original play. In the spring, we rehearse the play and perform it at middle schools and community settings, reaching up to 3,000 audience members across the greater Austin area. This program is a partnership between Creative Action and the SAFE's Alliance's Expect Respect program.
