Petition for FAIR Ballots
Fair Ballot Alliance NJ is a statewide coalition of 30 citizen groups calling for Fair Ballots for the 2024 Senate primary elections to ensure the winners of the election represent the will of the voters. The county line ballot currently in use serves to boost the choice of the county political party insiders by 35%, virtually guaranteeing the win to the candidate endorsed by the county party. New Jersey is the only state that uses this ballot design. A 2022 poll shows 65% of NJ voters, across the aisle, oppose this practice. We are working to make that clear to county chairpeople across the state.
