• een voortzetting van de tweede fase van het staakt-het-vuren;
• de uitruil van Israëlische gijzelaars en Palestijnse gevangenen;
• de terugtrekking uit Gaza;
• een einde aan de vijandelijkheden.

Wij ondertekenaars zijn van mening dat de rechts-radicale regering
Netanyahu aan deze oorlog zo snel mogelijk een einde dient te maken door:
• te onderhandelen met Hamas om de gijzelaars, die nog gevangen zijn, zo
snel mogelijk terug te brengen, alsmede de lichamen van de vermoorde
gijzelaars.

• te stoppen met het vernietigen van de leefomgeving van de Palestijnen
in Gaza en het vermoorden door geweld of uithongering van Palestijnse
burgers. Er zijn inmiddels al meer dan 50.000 Gazanen gedood, het
merendeel niet-strijders: vrouwen, kinderen en ouderen, in strijd met
het oorlogsrecht en mogelijk in strijd met de internationaal geldende
rechtsregels rond genocide.
• te stoppen met de annexatiepolitiek van zowel de Westelijke
Jordaanoever als Gaza door onder meer verdrijving van Palestijnse
burgers en stelstelmatige ondermijning van burger- en mensenrechten.
• te stoppen met het schenden van de uitgangspunten voor het
samenleven van Joden en Arabieren zoals die zijn vastgelegd in de
Onafhankelijkheidsverklaring van 14 mei 1948 waarin tevens is
vastgelegd dat de staat Israël de principes van het Handvest van de
Verenigde Naties in acht zal nemen.

Wij roepen partijen op tot:
• terug te keren naar de onderhandelingstafel voor een vreedzaam
samenleven van Israëli’s, Israëlische Arabieren en Palestijnen en een
toekomstplan voor de regio te maken.
• en vragen Nederlandse en Europese politici om alles wat in hun macht
ligt te doen om dit te bevorderen.

Statement of Support for the Israeli and Palestinian Populations
We, Dutch Jews, survivors of the Shoah, their children and grandchildren, who
were able to feel safe in their Jewish identity through the existence of the
State of Israel,
We, Israeli citizens living in the Netherlands, children and grandchildren of the
pioneers who built the State of Israel,
We support the nearly three-quarters of the Israeli population who, in a
February 2025 poll conducted by the Israel Democracy Institute, expressed
support for:
• Continuing the second phase of the ceasefire;
• The exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners;
• Withdrawal from Gaza;
• An end to hostilities.

We, the undersigned, want the far-right Netanyahu government to
bring this war to an end as soon as possible by:
• Negotiating with Hamas to bring back the hostages who are still held as soon
as possible, as well as the bodies of murdered hostages.
• Stopping the destruction of the Palestinian towns and villages in Gaza and
the killing by violence or starvation of Palestinian civilians. More than 50,000
Gazans have already been killed, the majority non-combatants: women,
children, and the elderly, in violation of international law and possibly in
breach of internationally recognized laws regarding genocide.

• Stopping the annexation policies in both the West Bank and Gaza, by among
others the expulsion of Palestinian civilians and the systematic undermining of
civil and human rights.
• Stopping the violation of the principles for coexistence between Jews and
Arabs as laid out in the Israeli Declaration of Independence of May 14, 1948,
which also states that the State of Israel will adhere to the principles of the
United Nations Charter.

We call the parties to:
• Return to the negotiating table for peaceful coexistence between Israelis,
Israeli Arabs, and Palestinians, and for developing a future plan for the region.
• And we urge Dutch and European politicians to do everything in their power
to promote this.
