About The Bay

The Bay is a signature public park along Sarasota Bay in downtown Sarasota, Florida. Designed to be "one park for all," The Bay is open and accessible, free and welcoming to the full and rich diversity of the community, now and for generations to come. More than 800,000 people have already visited the park since it opened in October 2022.

SECTION 1: REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

For the Bay Park Conservancy, Inc. to establish or renew your business as a vendor, you will need to provide the following documentation in advance:

  • Certificate of Insurance (COI) with a GL of 1 Million ($1,000,000.00) per incident / 2 Million ($2,000,000.00) aggregate. See below for required COI details. It is encouraged to copy and paste the information below into the COI to ensure it is accurate.

Two separate COI’s are required -- one for the Bay and one for the City of Sarasota. 

It is recommended that you copy and paste the information below to ensure accuracy.

Both COI’s are to be identical in coverages and in the description of operations. 

  1. The Certificate Holder for The Bay COI shall be listed as: Bay Park Conservancy, Inc. 701 N. Tamiami Trail Sarasota FL 34236
  2. The Certificate Holder for City COI shall be listed as: The City of Sarasota, 1565 First Street Sarasota FL 34236

In the “Description of Operations” box of the COI, all of the following must be entered:

Park Location: 701 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34236

Also including but not limited to surround parcels: 1055 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota FL 34236

The Bay Park Conservancy, Inc and the City of Sarasota are included as Additional Insureds, with waiver of subrogation, as required by written contract and executed prior to a loss, but limited to the operations of the Insured under said contract, with respect to the Automobile, General Liability and Umbrella/Excess Liability policies.

Electricity

If you require electricity to operate critical equipment, you must bring your own self-contained power supply. No power will be supplied.


Pricing 
The Bay’s promise is to be "one park for all" — to be open and accessible, free and welcoming to the full and rich diversity of the community. Consistent with that promise, food and beverages offered within the park should be accessible to all members of the community.

Therefore, there are some pricing parameters during events:
  • Bottled water should be sold at no more than $2.00 from all food trucks and vendors.
  • A price cap of $20.00 per individual food item from all food trucks and vendors.

Grease Policy
The Bay is a nonprofit organization that focuses on conserving public land for public use, environmental restoration, enhancement and sustainability, design and development, funding, and management of a signature public park in Sarasota. At The Bay, we strive to protect the grounds and the surrounding habitat. It is the responsibility of each food truck or vendor to please take care in how you manage and contain any oil or grease from your trucks. You will need to supply and utilize grease or oil mats to avoid dripping or potential damage to the park property. Thank you for your dedication and cooperation to proactively maintain a clean and safe environment for all to enjoy.

Waste Management
Thank you in advance for your mindfulness about the environment while serving at The Bay. In the spirit of leaving The Bay better than you found it, please remove all of your waste off the property when you leave.
