CPJ / U.S. ELECTION SAFETY CLINICS
Journalists covering elections and political rallies in the U.S. in recent years have been subjected to online attacks, verbal harassment, and even physical assault. CPJ has written guides and training resources that can help journalists mitigate digital, physical, and psychological risk, protect their digital safety and security, and learn about their legal rights.

As newsrooms around the country cover the 2024 U.S. elections, CPJ is mobilizing its safety experts to support journalists and provide safety advice where needed. This survey is intended to gauge the safety needs and concerns of newsrooms and journalists who will be covering the 2024 U.S. elections.

CPJ will not share your personal information or responses, however, CPJ may follow up with you if you express interest in attending a safety clinic or workshop.
