PowerLab PhD Application 2018
PhD Scholarship Information
Up to 5 scholarships are available to support PhD studies on a range of topics related to social and environmental policy impacts on population health in Australia. These studies will take place in the Population Wellbeing and Environment Research Lab (PowerLab: https://socialsciences.uow.edu.au/powerlab/index.html) under the supervision of A/Prof Thomas Astell-Burt, A/Prof Xiaoqi Feng and co-supervisors related to the PhD topic. The scholarships offer a living allowance of $26,682 to $30,000 per year. Tuition fees can be waived. Scholarships and studies begin in the PowerLab in early 2019 and run for 3 years. Exceptional candidates with an Honours degree (HD or D grade) or a Masters degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. public health, social sciences, geography, statistics, data sciences) are encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed upon submission, with excellent applications shortlisted for interview. There is no deadline for applications – scholarships will be allocated as and when high potential candidates are identified.
