The Bright Business Conference is proudly hosted by Efficiency Nova Scotia and proves to be one of the biggest energy efficiency events in the region.

To recognize the best-in-class energy efficient organizations, individuals and communities in Nova Scotia, five prestigious Bright Business Awards are presented during the conference. Award winners are industry leaders who inspire others to think and act differently and help distinguish Nova Scotia as a Canadian leader in energy efficiency.

The Bright Business Awards rely upon nominations to help us recognize deserving organizations and people. Nominate yourself, another deserving business, community group or individual for the 2020 BRIGHT BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AWARD by completing the below nomination form. BRIGHT BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AWARD
Recognizes an individual’s leadership, contribution and impact on the energy efficiency industry in Nova Scotia or the respective industry.

Scoring and weighting:
80% – Overall leadership and impact on the energy efficiency industry in Nova Scotia
10% – Scope of involvement in energy efficiency industry
10% – Demonstrated outstanding contribution in advancing the energy efficiency industry, established either over a long period of time or over a short period but with high impact



DATES:

BRIGHT BUSINESS LEADERSHIP AWARD

IMPORTANT SUBMISSION DETAILS:
• Maximum of 800 words per submission box. Nominations over 800 words per submission box may not be considered.

TIPS FROM THE AWARDS JUDGING COMMITTEE:
• It’s all about story telling!
• Create a compelling case that takes the judges on a clear journey from your initiative’s inception right through to its incredible energy efficient results:
--- What challenge or need was your organization trying to achieve?
--- Why was this initiative important to you and/ or your business/organization?
--- Once your energy efficient objectives were identified how did you take action to meet them? What steps did you take?
--- What were/are the results?
--- What were some of the ‘good’ thing’s that came from this efficiency initiative? (non-energy benefits, e.g. increased revenue, better health, improved occupant comfort)
• Remember each award is scored on three main criteria:
--- Pay attention to the weighting for each of the three main criteria – make your greatest effort to speak to each area best you can, and make sure to speak to all criteria to ensure top points.
• Ensure that your case is clearly written (grammar, etc.)
