Come to Story Lab!

What it is: A communication space where you can discover the essential tools you need to develop and write a story, and where you’ll experiment and tinker with those tools in a fun and communal environment. Referencing classic examples of great narratives, we'll focus on the elements of what it means to take science and research that's making an impact and turn a budding idea into a story that resonates. Along the way, we'll build out a Theory of Story — a shared, evolving toolbox you can turn to again and again whenever you’re crafting your next story. We'll also leave time for you to share any storytelling visions or projects you may have with the group.

Open to all UC Irvine students. Facilitated by the senior science writer for the UC Irvine School of Physical Sciences.
