Registration to the EALE Tour - April 17th


The Tinbergen Institute will host the first stop of the EALE tour 2023, which will take place on April 17th.

The EALE tour is an initiative started in 2021.  The EALE selected three promising labor economists that were on the job market this year, and invited them to tour across 3 universities to present their job market paper. We are happy to announce the program of the day:


10.00 – 11.00 :  PhD job-market session

11.00 – 12.00 : Elio Nimier-David (CREST), "Local Human Capital and Firm Creation: Evidence from the Massification of Higher Education in France"

12.00 – 13.00 : Lunch

13.00 – 14.00 : Keynote by Bas van der Klaauw (VU)

14.00 – 15.00 : Raoul van Maarseveen (Uppsala), "The effect of urban migration on educational attainment: evidence from Africa"

15.00 – 15.30 : Coffee

15.30 – 16.30 Pauline Carry (CREST), "The Effects of the Legal Minimum Working Time on Workers, Firms and the Labor Market"

16.30 : Drinks at the Tinbergen Bar

Registration Info
The first session of the day is reserved to PhD students and is meant to be an informal exchange with the 3 guests about their job market experience and tips. 

We strongly encourage all participants to attend the full program starting from 11am. Lunch will be provided to all attendees.
