Coordinator of the Minority Males Program & Member Support
Verizon Innovative Learning for Minority Males is the only exploratory project-based learning experience of its kind in the nation that leverages next gen technology to underrepresented middle school minority males to positively impact themselves and their communities. During a 3-week summer tech learning experience across 24 HBCU & HSI college campuses, and monthly engagements throughout the academic year over two years, 4,800 minority males will be engaged to identify – and solve – a community problem that aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Empowered by virtual field trips, key learnings, and connections with male mentors, students will develop a culminating project, solving a challenge in his community.

Job Summary:

The Coordinator is responsible for managing the minority males portion of the Verizon Innovative Learning (VIL) project. The coordinator will provide project management and support to the Historically Black Colleges (HBCUs) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) that participate to ensure that project goals are met or exceeded.
