AREAS OF INTEREST DESCRIPTIONS
Advertising/Communication/Marketing -
Promote events and fundraisers to the community using the best options for each including Facebook, district website, flyers, posters, banners, reader boards and community newsletters.

Advocacy -
Promote the need for additional funding for the Performing Arts. Compline research to support the educational benefits. Attend meetings and make presentations as needed.

Alumni -
Create and update FGHS Music Alums database for newsletter and annual support drive.

Archive -
Record concerts (audio and video) and possibly some special events.

Chaperones -
Helps to find and arrange adult chaperones for field trips and concerts.

Event Support -
Run the lobby, ticket sales and concessions during events and concerts.

Fundraising -
Research and present fundraising opportunities to the board. Each individual fundraiser will have its own subcommittee.

Grants -
Research grant opportunities, present recommendations to the board and write and submit grants.

Musician -
Ability to instruct students in a particular instrument or accompany students at performances, festivals or solo/ensemble.

Projects -
Help with a variety of projects for example, building or handyman work, sorting and organizing, filing.

Uniforms -
Make sure all uniforms are numbered and accounted for, assign uniforms at the beginning of the year and the beginning of the second semester for new students, collect all uniforms at the end of the year and at the end of the first semester for non-returning students. Alter or hem uniforms.

Trips -
Assist with organizing and collecting funds for trips, such as Menucha.
