Thank you for your interest in helping us diversify multimodal transportation options in Tompkins County, New York.
We’re the Center for Community Transportation, Inc (CCT), and we’re a local nonprofit researching the potential for development of "multimodal mobility hubs" placed throughout Tompkins County to help make first and last mile connections between the City of Ithaca and the surrounding towns.
The CCT is Ithaca Carshare, Bike Walk Tompkins, and Ithaca Bikeshare.
Multimodal Mobility Hubs are sites that connect different types of transportation modes near a public bus stop, and which can include some or all of the following features:
- Adding shelter to an existing bus stop
- Ithaca Carshare vehicles
- Ithaca Bikeshare e-bikes
- Well constructed, covered personal bike racks
- Ride sharing parking and meetup spaces
- EV charging stations for Ithaca Carshare cars
- EV charging stations for public use
- Charging stations for Ithaca Bikeshare and personal e-bikes
- Public parking for personal vehicles
- Ride-hailing (such as taxis, Uber and Lyft) pickup and drop off areas
We value our community’s input and ask that you only fill out the survey if you live in Tompkins County or commute to Tompkins County for work. We want to ensure we hear from residents and commuters most impacted by local transportation issues, and who would benefit the most from multimodal transportation options.
Everyone who fills out this survey will be automatically entered to win a $25 gift card through the Downtown Ithaca Alliance, good at more than 100+ local businesses and eateries. You must provide a valid email address in order to win.
