Virtual JFW Instructor Questionnaire

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure that our Wardens are able to access JFW programming throughout the 2020/2021 JFW year, AJFWA is working on creating virtual live and recorded lessons for our Wardens.

This is a call out to anyone in JFW (whether a leader, parent, support person, Warden, Alumni member, sponsored member) who is willing to volunteer their time to teach a lesson to our Wardens. Lessons can range anything from a simple JFW related craft to a more complicated project or concept. Think of what sessions you would teach Wardens in a regular in-person setting that could be adapted to a virtual live format or a pre-recorded video.

VIRTUAL LIVE LESSONS will essentially be scheduled Google Hangouts meetings with Wardens joining in. In this format, you will be teaching to Wardens via video conferencing and interacting with them virtually throughout your lesson. A materials list will go out to the session attendees ahead of time for them to collect in anticipation of the lesson. Lessons will be recorded by our ComIT Committee for future JFW viewing.

PRE-RECORDED LESSONS will be offered as videos to our membership to view. For example, you could record yourself taking a nature walk, pointing out items of interest to the Wardens for them to look for when they go on their own walks.

You are welcome to contact Jennifer Howitt, our Office Administrator, at or 587-225-7422 if you have any other questions.
