General instructions
- Judge how adequate you are for each task and select the option that best describes your case.
- If you respond positevely to a question, please describe how your expertise relates to the task (otherwise it's very unlikely we can use your feedback).
- Even if you respond negatively to all our questions, please submit the form so that we know how many people looked at it.
- If you have no idea about one task, you can simply leave it unanswered (not select any of the options). We will interpret that as 'This one is not for me'.
- Please, do not start any task until we contact you. The descriptions in this form are just summaries; in most cases, you need to interact with the requester before starting to work.
- If you are chosen for a given request, we may put you in contact with the requester so that you can discuss directly with them.
- Some of the request may come from private companies. They will be clearly labeled. We at crowdfight COVID-19 are happy to provide our coordination service to all efforts against the virus, but this obviously does not extend to you as volunteers--you choose what requests you answer, and in what conditions (you can specify this in your answer).
- Most tasks are very specific, so the most likely outcome is that you won't even understand most of them. Don't worry if that's the case, and please keep checking when we send new forms. It will take you only a couple of minutes to read the form, and they are crucial for us, as they help us find the exact match for each task, even the highly specialized ones.
- After you press the "Submit" button you will access another document with an extra set of requests that do not fall within the scope of our platform but that we also found interesting.

Thank you!
REQUEST [598]
Task [598a] A research group in France is setting up a SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus system to handle viruses in BSL2 for inhibitor screening. They are looking for spike S expression plasmid with CMV promotor (pCMV3 for example).
Your expertise in the topic
If you answered positively to the previous question, please give a bit of detail of how your expertise relates to the task (or about the person you are suggesting)
REQUEST [590]
Task [590a] A researcher is exploring the possibility of using selected phages (instead of anti-bodies) to detect COVID-19 antigens in ELISA. Phages have been used earlier for ELISA (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26472318/) with the advantage of lower cost, ease of production and greater affinity. He is looking for any researchers with experience in phage display to discuss these ideas.

REQUEST [586]
Task [586a] A researcher from Virginia (USA) needs urgently Bioquell chemical indicators (http://www.labnetworkstore.com.tr/brosur/bioquell-hpv-ci-kimyasal-indikator.pdf). Backorder from the manufacturer won't be available until the end of April, and most distributors have run out of stock. They are looking for any lab or institution that could loan them part of their stock (they will give it back as soon as they receive the new shipment). They would need between 25 and 400 indicators, but they would be happy with any number they can get.
Your expertise in the topic
If you answered positively to the previous question, please give a bit of detail of how your expertise relates to the task (or about the person you are suggesting)
REQUEST [600]
Task [600a] A medical doctor is working on a project to assess the efficacy of different lockdown measures. He wants to analyze country-wise epidemiological data (from the Johns Hopkins repository), combined with social isolation indexes computed by his institution. He is looking for epidemiologists, mathematicians or statisticians to help with the mathematical modeling (statistical data analysis, computation of epidemiological parameters such as R0, etc.). Programming in R would be a plus, as it would facilitate the collaboration.
Your expertise in the topic
If you answered positively to the previous question, please give a bit of detail of how your expertise relates to the task (or about the person you are suggesting)
Poll [crf6] For some request we need a faster turnover, and this might mean sending task distribution e-mails more frequently. We don't want to overload all volunteers, so we are going to create a "rapid reaction group" of volunteers who are OK with receiving more e-mails (probably getting about one extra e-mail per day). Please check this box if you want to belong to the rapid reaction group (you will be able to unsubscribe from these extra e-mails at any times, and still receive the regular ones)
