This scholarship recognizes the need for school library paraprofessionals who reflect the diversity of California’s multicultural, multilingual population.
Applicants must:
- be a current CSLA member
- be from a traditionally underrepresented group.
- be working in a classified position in the library field.
- be enrolled in a community college program for school library technical service certification.
One scholarship of $1,000 will be given.
Two letters of recommendation and a college transcript or other enrollment verification must be submitted. Candidates for letters of recommendations include current supervisor, course instructor, classroom teacher or principal. Email the materials to

The recipient will be expected to attend the CSLA Annual Conference at the Tenaya Lodge to receive the award at the luncheon on Friday, February 2, 2018. Costs associated with this attendance are not included in the award.
