CLSBA Unity 2026: Call for Proposals Now Open

The California Latino School Boards Association is excited to host our 2026 Unity Conference from August 27–30, 2026 in beautiful San Jose at the Marriott.

Our Unity 2026 theme is:
Unidos en Liderazgo, Fuerza y Transformación.  United In Leadership, Strength and Transformation

We are pleased to open our Request for Proposals (RFP) and invite you to submit a workshop proposal using this form.

Who should submit?
We encourage proposals from school district trustees and district administrators (Superintendents and Cabinet-level administrators recommended) to co-facilitate workshops—this is considered a best practice. Workshops should highlight your results, systems, and processes that advance outcomes for all students.

Please note: only school districts or county offices of education (COEs) may submit proposals using this form.

If you are not a district trustee or administrator and would like to partner with a district or COE to present (including nonprofit organizations), please email communications@clsba.org for opportunities to participate. Kindly do not submit through this form.

Proposal Timeline:

  • Deadline to submit: May 15, 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: On or before June 1, 2026

Proposals should align with our conference theme, demonstrate high-impact and measurable student achievement, and reflect one of the following Unity 2026 Breakout Strands – United In:

  1. Community-Centered Governance & Leadership
  2. Technology, AI & the Future of Learning
  3. Political Literacy, Advocacy & Student Protection
  4. Reimagining Attendance & Engagement
  5. Climate Change, Environmental Justice & Community Resilience

  6. Voice & Action: Elevating Student Board Leadership

Presenter Expectations:
Presenters are expected to register for the full conference and will receive a $100 discount for up to two (2) presenters. Presentation dates and times will be assigned by the planning committee, and while we will do our best, we cannot guarantee specific days. Presenters may also be asked to deliver their session more than once.
