MLK Building Authentic Relationships: NCBI Registration
Wofford’s National Coalition Building Initiative (NCBI) team and The SPACE invites the campus community (faculty, staff, and students) to participate in an introductory NCBI workshops on diversity leadership skills on Monday, January 21st from 9 am-12 pm, with lunch at 12 noon (Register by Thursday, January 17th). The lunch is sponsored by The SPACE.
In 2015, Wofford became an affiliate campus of NCBI, an international nonprofit leadership development organization dedicated to the elimination of racism and other forms of oppression.
The NCBI workshop is collaborative, engaging and informative for all participants. Led by certified facilitators, NCBI workshops help participants identify and work through stereotypes, recognize internalized oppression, and reclaim pride in one’s own background while building bridges across difference.
Wofford’s NCBI team – Carol Wilson, Sara Milani, James Stukes, Ramón Galiñanes, Begoña Caballero-Garcia, Dylan Lawing, Nadia Glover, Talicia Murphy, Bryson Coleman, Jalen Carter, Justin Trunfio, Theresa Pizzuto, and I – encourage you to participate in this important opportunity.
