Jack Petchey Girls' Coaching Programme - Coach Interest form 

In partnership with the Jack Petchey Foundation, Table Tennis England are offering schools and youth clubs within London and Essex six-eight weeks of table tennis training sessions for girls. Local, qualified coaches will deliver a training programme for girls to learn the key techniques of table tennis.

The scheme is open to youth clubs, state secondary schools, colleges and academies in Essex and London (within the 33 London Boroughs) that are actively involved within the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme. Successful applicants will be allocated a local table tennis coach to deliver a weekly one-hour session to a minimum of 10 women and girls at an agreed venue.

The coach allocated to schools must: 

  • Be a Table Tennis licensed coach, with an active DBS and safeguarding qualification. (They all must be valid for the entirety of the programme when they are delivering the Jack Petchey Girls' Table Tennis Programme) 
  • Be available for 6-8 weeks of the programme continuously - the programme will be held at the same time each week
  • Be available from January 3rd to deliver
  • Be passionate about providing girls a fun experience of table tennis
Payment will be made upon completion of the programme;
  • Level 1 coaches will be paid £20 per hour + travel expenses
  • Level 2 coaches will be paid £25 per hour + travel expenses 
  • Level 3 coaches will be paid £30 per hour + travel expenses
