Colette Pichon Battle, co-founder of the Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy (GCCLP), now
Taproot Earth, a global climate justice organization. An award-winning lawyer and climate justice organizer, her work focuses on creating spaces for frontline communities to gather and advance climate strategies that help us steward water, energy, and land. She has gained international recognition for her outstanding use of the legal and judicial process to achieve environmental goals, from equitable disaster recovery in the Gulf South to climate reparations for the Global South.
The Climate Justice Seminar Series is hosted by the HKS Climate, Energy, and Environmental Professional Interest Council (
CEEPIC) and the Harvard Extension School Sustainability Student Club (
HES3C).
