A Day in the Life of a Reference Librarian
Some of you think that librarians get to sit around and read all day.  If only!  What we actually do is a lot less relaxing, but a good deal more interesting - even a little bit like an escape room or treasure hunt.  In fact, if you want to make it as a reference librarian, you really have to keep your wits about you.  Do you have what it takes to survive a day as a librarian?  Try your hand at it by using our online databases to see if you can survive a day as a reference librarian!

You must find all your answers by using our databases, which you can find at http://berlinpeck.org/resources.  Oh, and make sure you have your Berlin-Peck library card handy – you’re going to need it!

We recommend that you open this escape room in a separate browser, so you don't lose progress when clicking on necessary links.

This escape room was created by Anne Henriques, reference librarian at Berlin-Peck Memorial Library in Berlin, Connecticut.  Thanks to Erin Honeycutt, Children's Librarian at Moultrie-Colquitt County Library System in Moultrie, Georgia for her tutorial for creating online escape rooms and to Sydney Krawiec, Youth Services Librarian at Peters Township Public Library in McMurray, PA for sharing the Hogwarts Digital Escape Room, which provided the inspiration for this digital escape experience.
