The following committees are the committees identified in our PEA Constitution and By-Laws:

Audit Committee (checks accuracy of accounting procedures.)

Bargaining Committee (shall be composed of a minimum of onerepresentative from each building level. Additional representativeshall include special areas and Special Education. Shall assess membership concerns prior to bargaining, develop initial proposals of the Association, and provide additional advice and input, upon the request of the bargaining team during active negotiations period.)

Budget/Fundraising Committee (prepares a budget giving estimates of incomeand expenditures (including a separate estimate for each committee)for the future fiscal year. Plans and conducts fundraising to support association activities such as, but not limited to PEA scholarship.)

Communications Committee (provide for effective member communication.)

Elections Committee (Charged with the responsibility to protect the integrity of an election or vote and ensure that an election is conducted in accordance with the Guidelines set forth in the OEA Elections Manual and with Local, State and National Constitutions.)

Grievance Committee (maintenance of, and membership advocacy in, grievance procedure.).

Human Relations (promotion of understanding, unity, and communication among all groups within the school and school district communities.

Legislative/FCPE Committee (candidate endorsement/campaigning, Ohio Fund collections, levy/bond campaigning, seek membership involvement in relevant local, state, and national political affairs.)

PEA Professional Development Committee (pre-service, continuing, and in-serviceeducational opportunities.)

The following committees are ad-hoc comittees or committees added through Negotiations:
Scholarship Committee (helps review the applications for the Susan W. Hughes Scholarship and make a recommendation for 1 recipient from each High School.)

Scheduling Committees (Two scheduling committees (one for K-6 and one for 7-12 consisting of an equal numer of unit members, appointed by the PEA President, and administrative staff appointed by the Superintendent, shall be formed to discuss a variety of schedule options, student support services, and academic programming. The committee shall begin work no later than September 15th of each school year, at mutually agreed upon meeting times. The committee shall present its findings to both the PEA and the Board of Education no later than December 15th of each school year.)

Special Education Committee (K-6 and 7-12 committees committed to the goal of consistent and effective practices within Special Education Department as provided by O.A.C 3301 and ODE's Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities.)

District Transformation Team (Responds to education reform initiatives and recommends policies and practices related to curricular and professional development needs of the district.)

Teacher Advisory Committee (Shall respond to, including but not limited to, member attendance, incentives, health and safety goals, and feedback to Guidelines provided by Teaching & Learning for classroom composition.)

Diversity Committee (Shall advise the Officers and Executive Board on efforts to support greater diversity  on a range of topics, including but not limited to: programming, campus/school climate and administration on diversity, inclusion, and social justice issues.)
