Academic Symposium Nomination Form
The 2018 WML Academic Symposium will take place Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Faculty from all disciplines and campuses are invited to nominate students whose exemplary research or other work deserves recognition from the campus community.

Work worthy of nomination should:

• Be among the best in its discipline or its course
• Be completed in Spring 2017, Fall 2017, or Spring 2018
• Provide a great lens for students, faculty, and visitors into the interesting parts of your discipline
• Involve some degree of collaboration with faculty mentor
• Exhibit original inquiry, exploration, or creativity

Nominations are due by Tuesday, February 6 2018.

Due to space limitations, presentations may be subject to review and selection by the Academic Symposium planning committee.

Short Description
Faculty, please consult with your student nominee to draft a 100 word (or less) abstract of their project and provide it in the space below. The abstract submitted in this form will be used during the selection process. Students will have the opportunity to submit a final abstract, to be used in Symposium publications, upon acceptance.
