The MHBNE is a weekend of barbershop quartet singing. Prior experience in a barbershop quartet is highly recommended, but not required. Indeed, many young singers who do not have prior quartet experience have successfully attended the brigade. It is not necessary to be able to read music (although it certainly helps!) as the MHBNE provides learning tracks for all songs. A demonstrated ability to sing on pitch and learn new music, however, is essential. Please list your musical background:
