Each cordwood masonry workshop will include cordwood construction basics. We will discuss different styles of cordwood construction including stackwall corners, round buildings, and cordwood infilling within a post-and-beam framework. We will also discuss types of wood to be used in cordwood construction projects. We will make bottle logs, mix mortar,  and learn how to install window boxes. This workshop will include mostly hands-on work sessions. The project is a timber-framed cordwood sauna. This workshop will give participants a strong introduction to this form of building technique.
