The Art Club works with Mentor Artist Anton Iorga.  A brief biography is provided below.

Autobiography of the Art Club Mentor:

My name is Anton Iorga, I am an MLCS PhD student working on Diasporic Indigenous Hip-Hop & Storytelling (and I taught a Graffiti course at the University of Alberta). I am also a hip-hop/slam poetry artist and have been for over 20 years now. I manage my own record label, and am very involved in numerous activist projects including Amnesty International, the John Humphrey Centre for Peace & Human Rights, Plan Canada & a number of my own collectives. I have started or am a part of the aim to fight injustices & intolerance across the world. Please see the below links to some of the music I've done to give you an idea of what I touch upon. I have also given numerous guest lectures and conferences on various related themes as well as many performances across Canada & elsewhere. I have also started a collective called Mutant Akademy which involves helping and mentoring misunderstood youths labeled as mentally ill, as misfits or rejects because of various reasons, teaching them to channel their artistic & creative abilities and accepting themselves as uniquely gifted rather than ill or incapable socially or academically speaking.

Here is a link to the Mutant Akademy tab on my record label's webpage:
