Motovun is located in the heart of Istria peninsula and getting there might not be so straightforward. We're here to help... and we guarantee it will be worth the nuisance:)

Please give us as much info on your travel plans as possible so we might advise and assist you... and don't hesitate to ask:

Ideally you should arrive in Motovun on Wednesday July 5th and leave on Saturday July 8th

Even more ideally you should plan to stay some extra days in the area and explore Istria and Croatia :) We're here to help with tips & tricks & planning!

If arriving by plane, consider the following airports
(airport code and distance to Motovun in brackets)
Zagreb (ZAG, 2.5 hours)
Pula (PUY, 1 hour)
Rijeka (RJK, 1.5 hours)
Trieste, Italy (TRS, 1.5 hours)
Ljubljana, Slovenia (LJU, 2 hours)

Getting to Motovun is somewhat of an challenge because there are no direct bus lines from these airports to Motovun.

Some people already booked accommodation and their hosts offered to pick them up at the Pula airport, for instance.

Most of the Croatian EuroNet team will arrive to Motovun from Zagreb (on Wed 5th) and we will probably be able to give you a ride or organise a transfer for you. Same applies to Slovenian team and the Ljubljana airport.

If you get to Pazin - the closest, regularly served, bus station to Motovun - we can pick you up with a car.

Get in contact for other travel arrangements and with any other questions...

As you can see in the photo above, Motovun is a picturesque hilltop town, which also means charming but limited accommodation capacities. But don't worry, we will all manage to find a place to crash:)

and let us know if you managed to book a place to stay.

Also, let us know if you need any assistance.

Tip: Use EuroNet 2016-2017 WhatsApp group to arrange apartment / room / villa sharing.

Did you already book a place to stay?

As we are "coupling" our Summer Meeting with the Croatian Public Health Conference on Health Systems and Health Policy (happening at the same time in Motovun), besides using the conference venue, we could also join the conference meals (breakfast + lunch + dinner on Thursday and Friday). Usually very nice food paired with local wine.
Would you be interested in this option? We will let you know about the price as soon as we arrange this "package" with the technical organisers of the conference.
Would you be interested in this option regarding the meals (non-binding)?
Field Trip
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
Would you be interested in taking a half / full - day field trip near Motovun on Saturday, July 8th?
Any specific suggestions or wishes?
Your answer
Looking forward to meeting, working and partying with all of you in Motovun soon!
