SVDA Release of Liability Waiver
LIABILITY WAIVER
The undersigned hereby releases, acquits, forgives and discharges South Valley Dance Arts, its owner and all its contractors from any actions, claims, demands, suits, agreements, judgements, liabilities and proceedings, whether arising in equity or law, and in particular, arising from loss, damage, liability, suspicion, injury, pain, cost or expense that may arise during or be caused in any way by participation in any and all activities or performances hosted by South Valley Dance Arts. This release shall remain binding upon all successors in interest and personal representatives of the contracting parties, to the extent permitted by law for the duration of my family and dancers participation or affiliation in SVDA's dance program.

SVDA Tuition Policy Agreement
TUITION PAYMENT
The undersigned hereby agrees to pay South Valley Dance Arts for the dance instruction of the above student(s) per the published rates for each student.

The Account Holder agrees and gives full guarantee to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:
1) Tuition payments must be received on or prior to the due dates.
2) Any monthly tuition payment made after the 10th of the month will incur a $25 late fee, to be charged to the card on file.
3) Any returned check will incur a $25 reprocessing fee.
4) There are no refunds given on academic tuition for any reason.
5) There are no refunds given for classes missed due to illness, injury, weather or vacation.
6) Annual Registration Fee of $50 is due at the time of enrollment.

The Account Owner hereby acknowledges that payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or bank draft.

SVDA Photo Release Policy
PHOTO RELEASE
I hereby authorize and consent to the use of my child's visual image by South Valley Dance Arts and its contracted agents, including photographers and videographers, for their respective promotional materials, online usage, and other areas of marketability. I give this consent with no claim for payment, either now or at any time in the future, for any use of marketing. I agree to waive all rights and claim and release South Valley Dance Arts and its contracted agents from any claim or cause of action, whether now known or unknown, relating to the sale, display, license, and use of the photos. I further understand I hereby agree to release any interest in or hold South Valley Dance Arts or its contracted agents from any income received from the photographic or video image of the child.

Fall 2018 Schedule of Classes
Classes are listed by Level, starting with our Primary Ballet Classes through our Adult Classes
Pre-Ballet and Pre-Primary Division
For Ages 3 yrs to 5 yrs
These classes are intended for the young beginning dancer.
The classes are designed to help young dancers become body aware and find the joy in dance.
Pre-Ballet
Ages 3 yrs to 5 yrs

Recommended: 1 class per week
Monthly tuition: $70
Monthly tuition, Thursday: $57
Semester tuition: $265

Classes
Lower Division Classes: Primary, Level 1 and Level 2
Minimum Age: 5 yrs.
Primary Level dancers aim to develop physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression, and musicality by using a range of sounds and musical styles.
Level 1 and Level 2 dancers develop the knowledge and understanding of ballet fundamentals and relevant techniques.
This basic knowledge is required to demonstrate:
1. Secure posture
2. Correct weight placement
3. Coordination of the whole body
4. Line, spatial awareness and dynamic values
Primary
Ages 5 yrs to 7 yrs

Recommended: 1 class per week
Monthly tuition: $80

Level 1
Ages: 7 and Up

Recommended 1 Class per Week

Classes
Level 2
Minimum Age: 7 yrs.
Prerequisite: at least 1 - 2 years of Level 1 Classes

Recommended 2 Classes per Week
Monthly tuition: $220

Middle Division / Level 3 and Level 4
Minimum Age: 8 yrs.
This is a very important transition level.
From this level forward ,the plasticity, coordination and smooth connection of movements of the arms, legs, feet, head, and body is the primary developmental goal.
Rhythmic patterns are emphasized and attention is given to aiding the dancer’s ability to “tune in” to muscular feelings.
Level 3

Prerequisite: 2 - 3 years of Level 2 Classes

Required: 3 Classes per Week

Level 4
Prerequisite: By teacher approval and invitation

Required: 4 Classes per Week

Classes
Upper Division Level 5 and Level 6
In progressing through to this level, Level 5 focuses on developing an understanding of technique reflected in the ability to coordinate movements in a series of sequences with an increasing vocabulary and awareness.
Students will be able to have an increased level of performance skill, Interpretation to music, developing spatial awareness, responsiveness to an audience and an ability to work with others.
Level 5
Prerequisite: By teacher approval and invitation

Required: 5 Classes per Week
Monthly tuition: $429
Semester tuition: $1,589

SVDA Junior or Senior Company Division
These classes are by invitation only for dancers Grade 3 and above.

SVDA Company classes
Ukrainian Division
Folk/Character Dance (Ukrainian & Irish) is a specific subdivision of classical dance.
It is the stylized representation of traditional folk or national dance, normally from a European country, and uses movements and music which have been adapted for the theatre.

Monthly tuition: $80/per class, per month
Semester tuiton: $315

Classes
Modern/Contemporary Division
Modern/Contemporary dance uses the parallel position as well as the turned-out feet positions of ballet.
This strengthens all of the muscles of the legs evenly.
It is expressive and can convey a story, mood or concept.
Most university dance departments have a focus on modern dance, as do most professional dance companies in the U.S. and Europe.
The goals are a solid technical foundation where postures are improved without emphasis of a turned-out hip position.

Musical Theater

Adult / Open Ballet Division
Our Adult/Teen Program is diverse enough to challenge the beginner to experienced Adult Dancer.
Our Open Ballet class is designed to add the opportunity for serious dancers to continue to develop their skills.

Adult Ballet:
Monthly Tuition: $80/per class
Semester tuition: $315

Open Ballet:
Monthly tuition: $110
Semester tuition: $392

Classes
Nutcracker Performance Opportunity (voluntary participation)
Every year, South Valley Dance Arts stages a full-length ballet performance of The Nutcracker.
As the expenses associated with putting on a production of this magnitude are large, we offer this opportunity to all our dancers as voluntary participation that will have an additional Participation Fee. Regular tuition does not cover participating in this performance. There are also volunteer hours required from parents.

More information will be sent to all students in September.
