Red Barn Farm frequently utilizes the help of folks in our community to help us lighten our workload and tackle special projects on an as-needed basis. We have worked with many individuals; some who work for us regularly on weekends and some who we may only see once a year to help with a special project - we appreciate any and all kinds of help.
However, since our pool of "helping hands" has such a vast range of schedule availability, it is sometimes hard for us to communicate with them all when we have paid opportunities pop up for which we are seeking help.
So, we are trying something new! The purpose of this form is to collect your contact information (email, preferably, will be the easiest way for us to send out notices of work opportunities) that we can use in a listserv. We will send out notifications to the folks on this list to let them know what days we could use help on and what some of the projects or tasks will be. Then, simply reply with your availability if you are able to work; or, you can ignore the email if you are unavailable or not currently looking for work.
***Please only agree to work if you have reliable transportation to get you to/from the farm. We understand things can happen last-minute to cause a change in availability and logistics, but when we have arranged our entire schedule for a day around having help to complete a project, it gets frustrating when we are repeatedly told last-minute that folks can no longer come due to their ride "bailing." This may be no fault of the individual who had good intentions and wanted to come work, but it throws a wrench in our plans for sure and impacts the logistical flow of our farm work. We please need our help to be as reliable as possible.***
