Purpose
The scholarship is to be awarded to high school seniors who exhibits high academic standards and who does not have the technology to be successful at a 4 year college or university.

Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a high school senior.
2. Must plan to pursue post high school studies (4 year college).
3. Must have completed at least ten community service/volunteer hours.
4. Must be a resident of Dallas county.
5. Minimum GPA 2.5

The Scholarship Award
The winner will be selected on the documentation and recommendations submitted. The winner will receive a scholarship of a technology bundle. There are two options. Option 1 consist of a laptop, laptop bag and 3 in 1 printer and print cartridges. Option 2 consist of a 3 in 1 printer, print cartridges, Microsoft Windows Suite and a flash drive.

Application Procedures - Please follow each step carefully. Any documentation or missing information may result in ineligibility for the scholarship.

Required Documentation (applications with missing items will not be considered)

1. Digital photo (headshot)

2. Official high school transcript with rank and GPA

3. Two letters of recommendation with one being from your school counselor. (Recommendations should be addressed to the Scholarship Committee of Kappa Zeta with a signature and contact information.)

4. Brief statement of why the applicant is deserving of this award and how he or she will use this technology in his/her academic career.

Email your photo, transcript, letters of recommendation, and statement to techscholarship by 11:59 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2019. The subject of your email should be "Rhetta Washington McCoy Scholarship_[your name]"
